Leaving a legacy to animal welfare charity Cretan Cat-a-list will ensure the future wellbeing of cats and kitten in Crete

Leaving a legacy

Making a will is the safest way of ensuring that the people and causes you care about will benefit from the proceeds of your estate.

Cretan Cat-a-list relies on donations and legacies to make a difference.

By leaving a legacy to Cretan Cat-a-list, you can be reassured your bequest whether large or small, will go a long way to improving the lives of cats and kittens in Crete for generations to come.

The decision to leave a legacy is not taken lightly, and there are several ways to make a bequest; the following are the three most common ways

Pecuniary legacy

This is a set sum of money you can leave to either individuals or charities. (Pecuniary legacies can be index linked so that the value of the gift increases with inflation. Otherwise as the cost of living increases, your bequest will decrease over time.)

Residuary legacy

This is what is left of your estate after all other monies have been paid out. (Unless you specify where you wish your monies to go, the government will decide where it is to be paid out)

Specific legacy

This is a specific property or item that you can leave to an individual or charity.

Informing us of your intensions to leave a gift or if you already have, will help us to plan for the future and to ensure your gift is used to most effectively.
We would only be able to do a fraction the work we do without generous gifts from people who love and care for animals. Thank you for helping us to continue to care for the cats and kittens in Crete.
